Chromex Mining plc (AIM: CHX) is an AIM quoted dedicated chrome company established to acquire, control and develop chromite mining and processing facilities. It currently has two key mining assets located on the Bushveld Complex in South Africa, which between them have total resources of approximately 41 million tonnes of chromite.
In May 2008 Julia Webb called ACT Systems asking for assistance; Act Systems were recommended to Chromex Mining by a client who knew we would be able to help! Chromex Mining had acquired new office premises in central London, the office had no communications or IT infrastructure so required a company that would be able to project manage and fulfil all the requirements in a short time frame. The office also would be home to a number of other company’s including Chariot Oil and Gas and Petra Diamonds and the infrastructure setup would have to accommodate up to 20 users with various requirements.

· Phone System including Conference capabilities
· IT Infrastructure to handle E-mail, file sharing, printing and remote access
· Wireless capabilities
· Internet Connection with fail safe
· Ongoing support package

After a number of site visits and final agreement on requirements ACT Systems proceeded to install Cat5 network cabling, a Panasonic TDA phone System, SDSL and ADSL Max internet connections, Microsoft Small Business Server including a number of workstations and a secure wireless network.
After the success of the install Chromex Mining were more than happy to sign a support agreement and are have been a valued customer of ACT Systems since.
